Merch Store Goes Live — Print Your Cub on Real Gear
The OkayCubs merch store is now fully operational. Holders can select any Cub from their wallet and see it rendered on hoodies, joggers, and embroidered caps using Printful's mockup generator. Each product shows a realistic preview with fabric folds and textures — what you see is what you get.
The store supports payments via credit card (Stripe) and Solana Pay. Every item is printed on demand and shipped directly to the buyer. Since every Cub is unique, every product is a one-of-one piece of wearable art.
We're exploring additional products like mugs, posters, and phone cases for future drops. If you have suggestions, let the community know.
March 2026 Update
Mockup Generation Overhaul — Faster Previews, Better Quality
We completely rebuilt the mockup pipeline this month. Previously, product previews could take over a minute to load or fail silently. The new system re-hosts NFT images on a high-speed CDN before sending them to Printful, reducing mockup generation from 60+ seconds to under 6 seconds.
Technical highlights: Vercel Blob storage for image hosting, in-memory caching to avoid duplicate API calls, and intelligent retry logic with exponential backoff for rate limits. The result is a dramatically smoother experience when browsing products.
February 2026 Feature
All Six Eras Now Playable
The final three eras — Paleozoic, Mesozoic, and Cenozoic — are now fully playable with unique enemy pools, era-specific honey abilities, and scaled difficulty. Players who reach 100 total victories can now explore the Cenozoic Era and face the most challenging guardians in the game.
Each era features distinct enemy designs and attack patterns. Cenozoic guardians in particular use frost-based abilities that can slow your attack speed, adding a new tactical layer to combat.

The Chronicle — Origins of La Miel
We've expanded the in-game Chronicle with deeper lore about the origins of La Miel — the primordial honey that exists in every geological era. The narrative explores why the Okay Bears originally left, what they were searching for, and why the Cubs are the ones destined to find it.
The Chronicle is accessible from the game's main menu and provides context for each era's honey type and the guardians who protect it. Future updates will add era-specific Chronicle entries that unlock as you progress.
December 2025 Update
On-Chain Verification and Tensor Integration
OkayCubs now verifies NFT ownership directly through the Solana blockchain using the Tensor API. When you connect your Phantom wallet, the game reads your token accounts on-chain and matches them against the OkayCubs collection. No centralized database, no manual verification — if it's in your wallet, it's in the game.
This also enabled the live floor price display in the game header, pulling real-time market data from Tensor's API. The integration ensures the game stays in sync with the broader Solana NFT ecosystem.
